Life's Simple Delights

...girl time.

Wedding Lookbook #6...

- Rooftop Rendezvous -

"This wedding is not only styled to perfection, it’s a perfect example of outside-the-box thinking when it comes to choosing a party venue. This creative bride had always dreamed of a rooftop wedding, but had limited options in her small town. When she spotted a new three-story parking garage near her workplace, an idea was born, and this gorgeously modern wedding was birthed from her innovative thinking."

Wedding Lookbook #4...

- French Affair -

This opulent setting was not created for a wedding reception but instead a very plush bridal shower. The inspiration is a modern take on Parisian elegance with a very feminine touch. Superb planning meant that no detail was missed, from the flowers to the food and even a Mixology Station where the women could create their own fragrances as a keepsake. While this style of bridal shower is not for everyone and definitely not feasible for most, but the attention to detail is inspiring and I for one would have loved to be invited to this soiree.

Royally Mad...

Since announcing Prince William and Kate Middleton's engagement a couple of weeks ago, Australia and certainly the United Kingdom has gone royally mad and just can't seem to get enough of the couple. With so much hype surrounding her matching Sapphire dress and engagement ring, I decided to use it as inspiration and create a collection of pretty little things that follow on from this moody, wintry and mysterious shade of blue.

Wedding Lookbook #3...

- Dessert Beautiful -

The inspiration for this wedding came from Mexico, and combines the use of burnt orange, browns and modern succulents to create a fun yet rustic look. The bride has bravely stepped away from a conventional bouquet of flowers and instead opted for one predominantly made out of various succulents all with different colours and textures, with the odd orange rose to make it cohesive with the colour scheme.

The table centerpieces have been displayed in wooden terrace boxes and work beautifully with the contrasting tea tins scattered across the table. The linen and crockery were kept simple and neutral which offsets the detail in the center of the table beautifully.

Despite absolutely hating the wedding cake and the sparse placement of the succulents around each tier, this couple have not only made a dessert wedding fresh, but there fun approach to their wedding has resulted in some beautiful yet cheeky photos.
