Life's Simple Delights...

...unexpected encounters.

A Room For All Seasons...

How fun and fresh is this apartment! The owners are clearly not afraid of colour and the result is a breath of fresh air behind every door. I admire people who are brave enough to implement such a bold aesthetic in their homes, because I honestly don't think I could. Each room has such a clear style, with a space for to retreat to for every mood.

With such a high ceiling in the lounge area, I love the idea of the exposed light bulbs as a way to make the space more personal and warm, while the intricate screen in the bedroom creates the perfect bedhead. It's easily interchangeable depending on the desired trend or style and the bold colour ties the whole room together.

Life's Simple Delights...

...when food becomes little works of art.

A Little Gossip Never Hurt Anyone...

Hands-up Gossip Girl fans...

Much like the phenomenon which was Sex and the City, women around the world tune into Gossip Girl each week to get their dose of drama and fashion...in equal parts of course.

What makes the fashion on the show so captivating is the fact that almost every look has come straight off the catwalk, and the wardrobes of the characters are nothing short of lust worthy. Yet, while its virtually impossible not to envy the clothes worn by these starlets, I find myself questioning how wearable some pieces are outside of 'TV land'? I mean, not everyone is a New York City socialite with red carpet events each week and 5th avenue as their own personal runway.

However I managed to find some outfit combinations that could easily pass in the less luxurious cities of the world.

Life's Simple Delights...

...unexpected romance.

Goodmorning World...

Call me strange, but while most of us dream of waking up to a perfect sunrise over the ocean or rolling hills as far as the eye can see, I think there is something beautiful about this view...

With the right pieces on the windowsill to frame the space, this snapshot of Brooklyn is raw and rustic yet real. Let's face it, how many of us actually have a bedroom window worth gazing at? I know I don't, so in comparison, this doesn't seem like a bad alternative...even if it is simply bricks and mortar.

Picture Perfect...

I recently came across these gorgeous shots from Katy Perry's cover shoot for Harper's Bazaar magazine and I couldn't help but swoon a little. The new Mrs. Brand looks simply stunning in this old Hollywood glamour theme. These photos are so beautiful, that if it were me I'd be tempted to frame a copy for myself. It's not vanity- it's art!

A Cup Of Love...

I don't know about you, but my days always seem to start that much better with a cup of coffee-bean goodness.

I've Got A Crush...

...ON LEOPARD PRINT

There's something sexy and chic about an understated piece of leopard print thrown into the mix of a simple outfit.

I'm especially loving Olivia Palermo's belt and Kim Kardashian's Christian Louboutin boots.

Let's take some inspiration from these great pieces and fab looks...

A Flower A Day Keeps The Blues Away...

I work for the most talented, personal and chic florist in Adelaide and on the weekend we assembled the flowers for a huge local wedding. The preparation is always grueling but seeing it all put together on the day makes the hard work and long hours worth it.

Weddings always get me thinking about what selection and style I'd choose for my own, and with the thoughts of the fabulous group of women I work with floating around the shop, it's clear that every one's perfect bouquet is completely different.

There are so many things I love about working with flowers and I didn't realise how happy they made me until I headed off traveling and found myself missing my daily fix of colours, scents and creativity. When it comes to flowers, the possibilities are endless and there is no such thing as an arrangement or bouquet to suit everyone.

So, to all the men out there I say this- Take Note: every woman has a favourite flower or a style they love. Find out what it is and next Valentine's Day, ditch the dozen red roses (which are so cliche and a rather safe option) and opt for something that truly says "I know you. I love you".

Also, no girl hates a surprise bunch of flowers at work, or a bouquet brought home after a long day. And if she says otherwise...she's lying!

Here are my picks for flowers for all occasions and places in the home...

[Sexy flower: Violet Cala Lilies]

[Centerpiece Flower: Green Hydrangea]

[Bedside Table Flower: White Hyacinths]

[Wedding Bouquet Flower: White Gardenias (minus the bling)]

[Pretty Flower: Pink Penoies]

[Long-lasting Flower: Phalaenopsis]

Whether you like classical, simplistic, colour or neutrals, the girls at Adelaide Flower House can put together a combination perfect for any person or occasion. You can find them at:

A Lovely Fix Of Fashion...

I know Summer is just around the corner, but I absolutely love Winter fashion and can't get enough of Camilla and Marc's 2010 Autumn/Winter Collection. Most of the pieces are black, which suits me just fine. Here are some of my favourites. They're to die for...
